Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Property Managementsupports Home Forward's strategic and operational objectives in the following way: To provide high-level property and management operations activities for the Property Management department consistent with Home Forward's mission and values. To analyze issues related to the evaluation of program services and performance, to monitor subcontractors, to provide technical support to the Director of Property Management and other Property Management staff. To create, develop, implement and coordinate strategies and processes designed to ensure program compliance. To provide management and oversight to a highly complex property management portfolio, containing properties acquired and built by Home Forward using diverse public and private financing sources, including: low income housing tax credits, tax exempt bonds, federal HOME, CDBG, Public Housing Operational and Capital funds, state grants and tax credits, private mortgage financing, and other local resources. In this context, the incumbent in this position will collaborate with others at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders in the consideration of significant goals, concepts, initiatives, and other activities that profoundly affect Home Forward, its employees, and the people that it serves.

This position will primarily be stationed at our Hollywood East building, located at: 1605 NE 45th Avenue, Portland, OR 97213

Please note: the Assistant Director of Property Management will be required to travel to various sites throughout Multnomah County.

Most placements are made towards the beginning of the salary range.

The ideal candidate will have Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in property management, real estate, business administration, social services or a related field. Experience: Eight years of increasingly responsible property management experience including four years of supervisory responsibility. Alternative education and experience qualifications welcome. Possession of an appropriate, valid driver license. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Public Housing Manager (PHM) certificate or Certified Property Manager (CPM).
