The City of Tigard is seeking a qualified Seasonal Utility Workers in various divisions. These positions may require weekend work. All seasonal positions are limited to 1040 hours and serve on teams in the streets, parks, sanitary/sewer or green infrastructure.

Additional Information:
Successful candidates must pass a physical capacities test designed to evaluate ability to perform the essential physical functions of the job.


Any combination of training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and one (1) year of experience in construction, repair, operation, and maintenance of streets, underground utilities, routine service of light and heavy vehicles and other power driven equipment, or parks and landscape.

NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Upon completion of reference checks, the finalist for this position will be extended a conditional offer of employment subject to passing a physical, drug screening and background checks prior to the final job offer. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.


Benefits: Seasonal employees are not eligible for Tigard's employee benefits packets.

Hours Status: 40 hours per week
