Director of Strategic Partner Development

The Director of Strategic Partner Development is responsible for embracing the development, strengthening, management, maintenance and support of collaborative relationships at all levels within Vetsource’s strategic partners, vendors and manufacturers. They will direct and oversee strategic partner planning and activities in order to maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships with partners that assist the organization in meeting its short- and long-term business objectives and goals. The Director and their team will work closely with partners’ key contacts to execute agreed upon strategies and tactics and shall be responsible for all organizational implementation, coordination and communication involving the partners. The Director will coordinate and work closely with the VP of Special Programs and Services as well as other executive sponsors and department heads.
Develop, strengthen, manage, maintain and support ongoing mutually beneficial engagement and partner relationships. Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel at all levels within partner organizations.
Develop, strengthen, manage, maintain and support short and long-term strategic partner plans focused on mutual growth and profitability. Develop and recommend strategic changes and track and communicate results.
Represent the company externally to partners to enhance current and develop additional joint business opportunities. Develop and deliver presentations demonstrating the value of partnerships and potential opportunities that will play an integral role in partner business meetings.
Directs the contract negotiation process and execution.
Conduct market research to develop synergistic strategies aimed at growing and maximizing performance and profitability for Vetsource and our partners. Collect and analyze performance and sales data to address areas that require improvement, subsequently implementing the appropriate changes and tracking and communicating results.
Establish productive, professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service and executive management resources to meet performance objectives.
Contribute to strategic planning, direction and goal setting for the department to achieve targets and budgets.
Develop messaging or talking points used in partnership-related communications.
Lead solution development efforts that best address partner needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary stakeholders.
Other duties/projects as assigned.
Work with Vice President of Special Programs and Services to establish appropriate performance measurements.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google platform suite.
Oversight of all team personnel activities regarding hiring, development, coaching conversations, performance reviews, and timecard approvals.
6+ years of proven experience in strategic partner management and account management.
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business management or related field. Equivalent work experience will be taken into consideration.
3+ years of experience in a managerial role.
Experience in animal health industry
Familiarity with eCommerce, software as a service, business-to-business and business-to-business-to-customer business models.
Experience with contract creation and negotiation
Travel required – 25%
Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time
The noise level in the work area is normally quiet to moderate
