The Account Logistics manager will lead operational execution for Wholesale Customers supporting advanced supply chain and sales directives. The ALM is Accountable for a team of Account Logistics Reps driving operational solutions for long term growth. This role will transform business processes and policies to drive operational excellence while creating a consistent customer experience across brands/geographies while maintaining premium service execution for our customers.


•Provide operational expertise and solutions to support advanced supply chain and sales directives
•Accountable for customer evaluations process; balancing account needs with industry standards, direction, customer loyalty and potential cost impacts. Provide high-level account analysis for use in identifying process improvements
•Build, Execute and communicate an Account Logistics roadmap that incorporates industry trends in terms of value-added services and logistics; while make recommendations to elevate Columbia processes. Leverage Columbia’s Supply Chain as a competitive advantage
•Analyze, recommend and implement supply chain efficiencies, including Consolidation, EDI, alternative transportation methods, floor-ready requests, and other special service requests
•Effectively articulate account bases ‘supply chain’ vision to internal cross-functional business partners, including Account Services, Planning, Distribution, Logistics and Manufacturing. Work with peer group to define account trends and build communication tools to articulate trends
•Accountable to build and sustain a Customer Engagement model between customer’s supply chain, customer buying teams, and Columbia’s supply chain
•Accountable for continued transformation of the Deduction Management process to ensure account profitability
•Provide holistic customer analysis for sales and operations management (scorecard, compliance, sales initiatives, supply chain costs, etc.)
•Ensure operational needs and initiatives are represented within account plans while linking to Columbia’s overall Supply Chain strategy
•Performs other duties as assigned


•Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience
•Minimum of 5 years of management experience and mastery of relevant technical or business skills required to accomplish the job
•Apparel/footwear industry experience required
•Broad understanding of supply chain processes, procedures and internal structure and partners
•Strong background in talent development, succession planning, and team development
•Ability to represent Columbia Account Logistics in Customer/sales meetings face to face and in calls
•Ability to collaborate and influence across all levels of the organization
•Superior Professionalism/Interpersonal skills – clear and concise business communication
•Ability to influence others, comfortable interacting with customers, sales reps and management
•Proactive and assertive in follow-through with colleagues and business partners
•Ability to understand and translate moderately technical concepts verbally and in writing
•Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to apply experience and knowledge to provide creative solutions to problems
•Decisions made at this level have direct impact to current and future revenue growth for the company. This is a high impact position
•Ability to translate vision and transform it into operational/ executional plan to drive results
•Ability to work within a matrix org with high level of ambiguity and change

Leadership Responsibility:

Yes, Full manager responsibility in a matrix organization with 6-10 direct reports. Professional leadership includes setting objectives, coaching employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisals of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes. (including but not limited to hiring, terminations, pay changes, job changes, and training.)
