The purpose of this specific position is to maximize county revenue by billing Medicaid for all billable charges we can from all of our clinics and following through to ensure our payment is received.

This position is specifically responsible for all of Multnomah County Clinics serving clients with Medicaid coverage. The primary job functions are to analyze, review, research and correct or adjust all denied and rejected claims through our EPIC and Gateway clearinghouse systems. In addition, update insurance information; correct and resubmit claims; post insurance payments received through check/electronic funds transfer (EFT) while reconciling to EPIC report and payer remit reports with the Cash Department (SAP) deposits received. Interpret, evaluate, review, research and correct or adjust all denied, rejected and no response claims through working in our EPIC systems Work Queue's (WQ's), Gateway clearinghouse system and the Payer specific websites following complex and detailed department work flow processes.
