• Position Title: Development Associate
• Department: Marketing & Development
• Employment Status: Full-Time
• Pay: $40,000-$42,000, DOE
We are seeking a full-time Development Associate. The Development Associate supports the mission of De Paul by planning, implementing, and coordinating essential development activities to raise operating, special project and capital funds from individual, foundation, and corporate donors. The Associate implements an annual fundraising plan that helps De Paul achieve its strategic goals. The position works closely with the CEO to identify and solicit major gifts. The Associate maintains and expands support from donors through oversight and execution of the annual giving campaign, grant writing, special appeals, and stewardship. The Associate maintains De Paul’s donor database (Raiser’s Edge), ensuring accurate maintenance of all donor data and conducts regular reporting and analysis of fundraising data.
This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, exemplary problem-solving skills, strong time management and the capability of working both independently and as a member of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have three or more years experience fundraising in a nonprofit environment.
• 3 or more years of nonprofit fundraising experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficient in Raiser’s Edge and other database software
