Four comprehensive campuses, eight centers and dozens of independent locations throughout the community offer courses and provide student services. The Multicultural Center (MC) Lead Coordinator is a full-time 12-month Academic Professional position that reports to the Dean of Student Development. Based on each Portland Community College campus and in collaboration with the other campuses, the MC Lead Coordinator oversees the overall direction of the Multicultural Center, including development of the student leaders, equity programs, administrative operations and services, and community building. In addition, the MC Lead Coordinator serves as the Co-Chair to the Rock Creek Diversity Council and works in collaboration with the Office of Equity and Inclusion. Overall work and collaboration with other student resources centers, campus, district, and community partners, and student council organizations are expected.

The Multicultural Center values community building and collective action, which is demonstrated through the leadership program, peer tutoring, mentoring, student activities, and campus partnerships. The Center is dedicated to developing student leaders and raising awareness of issues related to race, ethnicity, and culture on campus.
