Hi, I’m Carolyn Rerick, Sr Director of Customer Acquisition and Retention, at Puppet,

I’m looking for a Manager, Sales Development to join our team to play a fundamental role in achieving Puppet’s customer expansion targets and revenue growth objectives. You will effectively build, mentor, inspire and lead a portion of our team of Sales Development Reps (SDRs) - Inbound and Outbound Reps to exponentially grow our business. You’re skilled at motivating teams through leadership, coaching - a lot of it, interpersonal communication and team-building. You’re driven to help them achieve their goals, objectives and quota attainment. In this role you will work cross-functionally to ensure positive working relationships and to maximize the impact and overall effectiveness of sales development.

At Puppet, the Sales Development Team is the tip of the arrow for sales. We work closely with Marketing to make the most of the campaigns they run, while also partnering closely with our Commercial and Field Sales Representatives by leveraging their territory knowledge and strategies to build pipeline.

Meaningful work you’ll contribute :

Lead the team to develop and achieve quota for number of qualified meetings and opportunity conversions per month with decision makers at target accounts and with inbound marketing qualified leads.
Provide training and support to the SDR team to understand an Account Based Selling methodology and best practices for outbound and inbound prospecting.
Develop proactive call strategies to penetrate target accountsOversee the follow-up on inbound leads and ensure SLAs are met and maintained
Drive a performance & competitive culture within the SDR team and be an influencer in driving the same culture with adjacent teams.
Work in collaboration with the other SDR Manager and other leaders within our team to drive results and cultivate a winning and open culture.
Work with Sales Director to monitor and refine sales processes and metrics to drive efficiency, productivity and accountability.
Work closely with Sales Director and Marketing to develop effective campaigns leveraging existing marketing campaigns as well as campaign creation.
Partner in recruiting, hiring, training, motivating and coaching SDRs - attract, hire and retain high-performing SDRs through multiple recruiting channels
Ensure effective use of Salesforce, Salesloft and other tools in our sales technology stack.

Valuable experiences and skills you’ll bring to Puppet

2 years’ experience in a Sales Development/Business Development/Account Development position.
Proven strong leadership and mentorship skills - lead by example
Experience in territory planning & management.
Ability to learn & incorporate communication strategies based on behavior style tendencies.
Aptitude to master sales tools, process and provided training
Experience in mentoring and on-boarding new team members or other roles within the sales org.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, CRM utilization, LinkedIn and other prospecting tools. Ability to instruct others on how to incorporate communication strategies based on behavior style tendencies.
