The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is in search of an HR Business Partner with a passion for building HR programs and supporting employees who provide park and recreation services to the community. The ideal candidate wants to continuously learn and grow in different areas of HR, seeks out opportunities to improve services and works collaboratively across teams and departments to implement those ideas. The perfect candidate will be someone who can do all of the above while having fun!
Led by the District's HR Manager, the team is comprised of three Business Partners & a Recruitment Assistant. The HR Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor and supports assigned departments in the areas of: recruitment & selection; employee relations; and general full-cycle employment support, and will have the opportunity to dive deep into an HR focus area with the full support of their team. Current goals for this position include a review of the district's leaves and accommodation program; work to advance the district's diversity, equity, inclusion, and access efforts; and coordination of employee engagement events.
Education and Training: Equivalent to a four-year degree or major course work in: Human Resources Management, Public/Business Administration, or a related field. Current Human Resources certification is preferred.
Experience: Three (3) or more years of generalist human resources experience is required. Previous experience as an HR Analyst or Business Partner and/or experience in the public-sector is preferred.
