TITLE: Clinical Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Community Engagement Program (CEP)
HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
WAGE: $25.12-$28.89 DOE
SUMMARY: The Community Engagement Program Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the day to day supervision and clinical coordination of the CEP team. This position oversees an array of clinical services to clients. Those areas include Intensive Outreach, Case Management, Community Support, Chemical Dependency Treatment, Mental Health Treatment, Accessing appropriate and affordable housing, Crisis Intervention/Management, and working collaboratively with inter and intra agency partners on the provision of services needed in all life domains to promote recovery and self-sufficiency.
This position requires the flexibility of hours, independent decision-making, program planning, budgetary compliance, clinical supervision, quality management, and being a liaison with numerous outside agencies. The Clinical Supervisor is directly responsible for the supervision of case managers, peer support specialists, and housing specialists.
1. Master's degree in a human services field and two years of experience in behavioral health and meet State ISSR guidelines for QMHP.
2. Has the competencies necessary to:
a. Identify precipitating events;
b. Gather histories of mental, emotional and physical disabilities, alcohol and drug use, past mental health services and criminal justice contacts;
c. Assess family, social and work relationships
d. Conduct a mental status assessment
e. Document a multiaxial DSM diagnosis
f. Write and implement or supervise implementation of a treatment plan
g. Conduct and document a mental health and alcohol and drug assessment.
h. Provide mental health and addiction treatment and rehabilitative services within ones scope of practice
3. CADC II or above required.
4. Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred.
5. Minimum two years supervisory experience.
6. Must meet CCC privileging requirements as required by FTCA.
7. Must embrace the mission and philosophy of recovery and client-centered treatment.
8. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit. 9. The OAR prohibits A&D program staff from having within the previous 3 years a DUI conviction or diversion, a felony conviction, or a conviction under the Uniform Controlled Substances Act.
10. Must become a certified Director’s Custody designee in Multnomah County within the first 6 months of hire.
11. If in recovery, must be able to document continuous abstinence under independent living conditions or recovery housing for the immediate past two years.
12. Must carry an agency cell phone for work use. Cell phone provided by Central City Concern.
13. Must possess a current driver’s license, access to a vehicle, qualify as an Acceptable Driver as designated in Central City Concern’s Fleet Safety policy. Must pass an initial drivers training within 60 days of being an approved driver and continued recertification training. Must maintain vehicle insurance coverage of a minimum of $100,000/$300,000 personal auto liability coverage.
14. Must have the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects and climb stairs.
15. Must adhere to agency nondiscrimination policies.
16. Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, political affiliations, cultural backgrounds, life-styles, and sexual orientations and treat each individual with respect and dignity.
