The Annual Fund Manager is a key member of the Development team, and is responsible for the management of the annual fund program and corporate sponsors to achieve Artists Rep’s fundraising goals, support growth strategy, and maximize donor engagement.

The Annual Fund Manager will steward and cultivate Artists Rep’s individual donors, along with developing relationships with corporate partners. The role requires organization, creativity, and the ability to work both independently and to collaborate as part of a team.

A secondary role of the Annual Fund Manager is to support ART’s events in partnership with other team members. Events include First Reads, Cast Suppers and Director’s Dinners associated with each production, the annual Donor Appreciation Party, and the annual Fundraising Gala. Additional events include specific donor cultivation events that are associated with subscription sales.

Annual Fund Management:
-Develop and implement an annual fundraising plan with a focus on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors who give up to $2,000. This includes list segmentation and production, developing appeal themes and overseeing production of letters and emails, and tracking metrics to identify areas of improvement.
-In collaboration with Marketing Department, successfully employ all communication channels to promote giving, including direct mail, email, social media, website, and interpersonal strategies.
-Help develop content for the website and printed materials to promote giving.
-Develop and fulfill donor benefits with a focus on creating meaningful opportunities for engagement and cultivation.
-Maintain donor records, including gift entry, collaborating with Finance Department for reconciliation, managing campaign/appeal setup in Tessitura, and assisting in reporting/analyzing trends to identify areas that require greater attention and resources.
-Responsible for gift acknowledgement process, including letters, phone calls, and published donor acknowledgement lists.
-Assist Managing Director in reporting metrics/giving to the Board of Directors.
-Identify annual fund donors who may have greater giving capacity.
-Identify potential corporate partners and develop effective proposals.
-Establish and manage relationships with corporate partners.
-Maintain donor relationships through attending special events, personal outreach, specialized opportunities (site visits, tours, etc.), collaboration with other staff, and volunteer engagement.
-Clearly articulate to funders the mission and priorities of ART.
-Maintain accurate records (contacts, budgets, correspondence, etc.) and updates pertinent information in Tessitura.
-Promote Artists Rep’s equity and inclusion goals.

-Participate in the planning and execution of Development events, including an annual major fundraising gala each spring.
-Pull invitation lists, manage invitations, RSVP lists, and check in.
-Manage event logistics.
-Other duties as assigned.

-Two years or more of development experience or educational equivalent preferred.
-Ability to authentically engage with donors, volunteers, and other theatre supporters in a variety of settings.
-Demonstrated ability as an adept and persuasive writer.
-Effectively communicate and maintain working relationships with donors, board members, community stakeholders, leadership team, colleagues, etc.
-Contribute to a positive organizational culture based on mutual respect, collegiality, collaboration, and openness to many perspectives.
-Work collaboratively in an equitable and inclusive framework with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds.
-Capable of self-directed work; able to set and meet multiple and/or competing deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
-Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to delegate tasks, motivate colleagues, and manage priorities in a deadline-oriented environment.
-Attention to detail, including a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
-Demonstrate discretion in managing confidential information.
-Event and/or volunteer management experience beneficial.
-Commitment to ART’s diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
-Successfully adapt to and embrace new technologies; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and database experience required, knowledge of Tessitura database preferred.
-Enthusiasm for theatre and the performing arts.
-Occasional evening and weekend hours at special events required.

Salary Range:
Starting at $40,000 (BOE), includes a healthy benefits package
