HYG is looking for an energetic individual who will help us develop software and architecture in the next generation of HYG forklift products. This role plays an important role in creating, modifying, and implementing designs on our current and future product offerings. This individual interacts globally with internal and external software developers. Join our team and help us take forklift embedded software development to the next level
Develop and maintain the next generation of model-based embedded software for HYG products
Design Globally – Influence global design teams as technologies change and improve software
Think Globally- Support strategic development of expanded capabilities of all HYG forklift platforms
Work with internal functional teams, special product engineering groups, and external vendors, to develop and release the on-truck software.
Provides product design documentation through the creation of software functional specifications, and customer requirement documentation.
BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 10 - 12 years of industry experience.
Development experience in C programming language required
Development experience with Matlab/Simulink (or equivalent) required
Autocode model to C optimization experience
Knowledge of CAN bus systems (SAE-J1939 or CANOpen) preferred
Experience and interest in industrial equipment (materials handling, automotive, agricultural, construction, or similar) preferred
Innovative thinking, troubleshooting and problem solving to apply basic principles and methods to resolve product issues.
Project management skills for internal and external program management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with refined teambuilding and leadership abilities
