The Sr Manager, Compensation Programs is responsible for overseeing broad-based compensation globally. Working closely with the VP Total Rewards, the incumbent creates the overall strategy, design, development, and communications of global compensation, including such programs as job structure/career framework, base pay, bonus administration, and rewards programs in direct consultation with the business and business partners. In addition to staying abreast of legal and regulatory requirements in subject area, ensures programs remain within budgetary constraints.
•Manages and provides expertise for salaried and hourly broad-based compensation programs, which includes global position evaluation, local salary structures and rewards strategies, merit matrices, salary range development, and market pricing studies. Oversees the administration of the annual merit process,including systems and training.
•Manages design, administration,financial forecast process, and systems for incentive programs, making recommendations for market-based target and/or design adjustments.
•Manages vendor and consultant relationships to ensure accurate work product and effective and cost-efficient support.
•Develops and leads compensation-related communication and training to promote understanding and good practices for all compensation and incentive programs globally.
•Acts as the consultant to the business and international HR partners providing insight and flexible alternatives within structural guidelines to business based on brand and enterprise goals and strategy and per the compensation team’s mission.
•Oversees compensation-related projects, supporting the VP Total Rewards and leadership. Manages broad-based compensation team, controls and monitors allocation of resources, and oversees project plans.
•Monitors and contributes to the organization’s competitive edge by developing and executing best in class strategies.
•Handles all management level responsibilities for staff, including performance reviews, employee development, hiring, firing, coaching and counseling.
•Collaborates with Well being function to help build a comprehensive but flexible global total rewards strategy.
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or applicable certification or equivalent experience.
•5+ years of Global Compensation Administration experience required
•5+ years in managing individual contributors and managers.
•Experience developing and presenting complex compensation information in a format designed to educate employees. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver presentations to small and large groups.
•Knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize performance of area(s) managed; interprets business challenges.
•Requires excellent organizational and analytical skills.
•Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work well with employees and provide compensation explanations that are clear and concise.
