As a Human Resources Analyst II, you will support the Talent Acquisition team and Employee Relations functions. As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will provide direct recruitment and selection support to County departments and functions. Aptitude and ability to identify and implement creative and innovative recruitment strategies is critical to success in this position. Washington County seeks your talent in recruiting candidates that represent the rich diversity of the community we serve.

You will also provide a supporting role to Employee Relations functions within the Human Resources division. The Employee Relations Unit performs classification and compensation studies, conducts internal investigations, writes and edits discipline documents, responds to union grievances, and provides general consultative support to departments and offices. These functions are performed under the direct supervision of a Senior HR Business Partner or HR leadership.

Education and Experience
A typical way to obtain the minimum required knowledge and abilities would be:

A Bachelor's Degree in human resources, public administration, business administration, or other closely aligned degree program from an accredited institution of higher education; AND
Two (2) years of professional Human Resources experience related to the position.

If you have completed education in a foreign college or university and are using this education to meet the minimum qualifications, you must provide documentation that the foreign education is comparable to that received within the United States' accredited college or university system or your application will not be accepted.

Special Qualifications
Washington County may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates. Please clearly explain on your application how you meet any of the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills:
Experience in public sector human resources.
Certification in Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) or equivalent.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience using applicant tracking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven ability to provide excellent customer service skills to a diverse population.
