General Position Summary:

As a Global Costing Analyst you will support cross functional teams and Liaison office counterparts to ensure efficient target cost achievement at competitive total product costs. You will be responsible for assisting in building and executing seasonal costing direction and expectation. You will leverage cross functional relationships and use your analytical skill set to ensure accurate cost analysis reports to better inform the business on what we can do to ensure profitability.


Proactively communicate costing analytics to assist product creation team to make product decisions that enable optimal product value and target cost achievement

Participate with Liaison office predictable, competitive and sustainable product costs projects and initiatives

Analyse and identify trends causing margin erosion to assist with corrective action to close gaps in margin

Analyse finish good vendor’s cost performance to ensure in season cost expectations are being met

Assist and collaborated with broader Costing, Liaison office, Product Engineering teams to develop and implement cost standards, tools, and processes that enable efficient and accurate product cost

Analyse macro & micro economic trends and global free trade agreements to support sourcing decisions

Adhere to calendar deadlines for key costing-related activities


Knowledge of garment manufacturing including, sourcing, costing, compliance, logistics, distribution, and planning operations. Possess knowledge of garment construction and cost drivers

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Strong foundation in finance and math

Foundational understanding of global trade agreements and trade regulations and impact on landed costs

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Pivot Tables

Preferred experience with GSD (General Sewing Data)

Requires an ability to read, write, and speak English, within daily activities and ability to communicate with vendors and global employees

Ability to work well with individuals of different countries and cultures

Understands ambiguity and can work in an evolving environment

Ability to deal with work and time pressures to accomplish job requirements in an efficient and effective manner

College degree in business, economics, apparel/textiles, manufacturing, or related experience

3-5 years of experience in apparel or other soft goods sourcing, development, costing, production, or a manufacturing environment

Role may require 50+ hours per week, usually with 8-10 hour days. Attendance at evening/weekend meetings may be required

Potential to travel internationally
