This is a part time position at 16 hours/week, located at a residential treatment facility in Wilsonville OR. The schedule is Saturday - Sunday, 10:00am - 6:30pm.

The Skills Trainer works as a member of an interdisciplinary team to implement and monitor treatment for residents living within the residential facility, while supporting a trauma-informed care environment. With the high prevalence of trauma among individuals receiving mental health services it is required the Skills Trainer understand the effects of trauma on health, coping, and other aspects of the lives of those we serve. The Skills Trainer must have the ability to work independently in the community, providing skills training to clients. This position involves participation and implementation of program goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based, client-centered approach to assisting residents in achieving individual goals and ultimately transitioning to a less restrictive setting.

Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field from an accredited college or university or three years of full time professional experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Demonstrate the competencies to become credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA), as outlined in the Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR). Certification must be kept current and in compliance with the OAR's.

Experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Operate computer hardware and software at a level needed to effectively perform job functions
- Enter and retrieve data
- Prepare simple reports

- Driving may be required at some of our locations. If driving is required, incumbent must possess a valid driver's license, three year driving history; clean driving record, ability to pass Driver Motor Vehicle (DMV) check and complete the Cascadia online Defensive Driving course (Overnight shift is an exception based on program needs).
- Ability to perform CPR, First Aid, and properly use AED equipment. CPR/ First Aid certifications are required and must remain current.
