In partnership with the SOREL Regional Sales Managers, this role will provide sales support to all accounts, both independently and supervised. This support may come in the form of account facing activities including initiating and managing business meetings and product line presentations. This role will manage all sales data and analytics, assist in interaction with retail customers and serve as a liaison with Sorel staff to represent the interests of the retail customers. The candidate will be highly proficient with sales data and analytics as well as Microsoft Excel.




Responsibilities:
•Develop in-depth Brand awareness, understanding of industry, market trends and competitive landscape.
•Assist in, and at times independently, managing thesetup and support of customer product presentations and meetings. Develop strong presentation skills to show the line to retail customers telling a cohesive brand story that includes seasonal initiatives and product specifications.
•Facilitate and manage all aspects of style setup and maintenance, sales order entry and contract management to ensure order flow. Act as liaison with retail buyers and Sorel account services staff to ensure timely and accurate shipment of orders.
•Lead in sales data management and analysis including understanding of customer financial plans and ability to forecast future results. This analysis will lead to providing feedback and recommending action plans that are in the best interest of Sorel and the retail customer.
•Organize and maintain account history including sales data, meetings and key outcomes.
•Responsible for creating seasonal excess and closeout lists to be distributed to sales representatives. Provide analysis of current inventory. Assist in order entry and processing and provide order status as necessary.
•Manage first quality returns and refusals from dealers in assigned territory, including but not limited to maintenance of documentation relative to order handling variances and Purchase Order non-compliance: researching charge-backs, price errors and other post-shipment issues.
•Responsible for researching and identifying market opportunities for the Sorel Brand and its retail customers.
•Work with merchants and planning partners to facilitate the processing of SMU styles.
•Work closely with internal Sorel merchant team, account services and planning. Maintain positive open lines of communications. Provide miscellaneous information including SMU design feedback, sales and inventory projections and account updates that help to properly manage key account businesses.



Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required.
•Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business preferably in a retail buying, direct sales, or equivalent work experience preferably in the footwear or apparel industry.
•Knowledge of merchandising, buying, product allocation,and retail sales analysis.
•Knowledge of retail math with and knowledge of open-to-buy and the financial planning process at the retail level.
•General knowledge of the fashion industry, consumer buying patterns and retail dynamics sufficient to be credible and influential with customers.
•Ability to apply effective customer service techniques and strategies and to prioritize tasks and respond to urgent requests/inquiries with some supervisory involvement.
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to solve problems for customers.
•Proficiency in excel spreadsheets and data maintenance. Ability to manage, analyze and translate data into action.
