What You'll Do
The Resident and Community Services Coordintor position supports Home Forward's strategic and operational objectives in the following way:
Plan, coordinate and provide resident, family, community service, community building, and social and educational services to improve the stability, quality of community life, and wellness of individuals and families. Duties are site or program based, vary with site or program needs, and may include, for example, to assess the needs of individuals and families in order to provide referrals to community service providers and partners; to provide ongoing case coordination and resident communications; to collaborate with site management staff, landlords and other key housing staff to ensure all services are coordinated effectively and consistently; to respond to and intervene in resident problems and crises, to create, develop, and implement community, organization, and program initiatives; and to create and implement resident initiatives designed to build leadership and promote inclusion in the development of communities.
In this context, the incumbent in this position will collaborate with others at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders in the consideration of significant goals, concepts, initiatives, and other activities that profoundly affect Home Forward, its employees, and the people that it serves.
This position supports the HUD funded ROSS (Resident Opportunity Self-Sufficiency) grant. The grant requires a focus on grant administration, monitoring of program performance, monitoring progress of program participants, setting learning goals and providing referrals or follow-up services as needed, coaching program participants, budget tracking and reporting, establishing and maintaining relationships with community partners, arranging various workshops and community events and activities.

This position is stationed at Floresta Townhomes at:
12608 SE Foster Road Portland, OR 97236
and will serve various properties throughout East County
Please Note: Resident and Community Services Coordinators may be required to work at any of our locations throughout Multnomah County.
Bilingual Spanish speaking ability preferred.
