Key Responsibilities
Business Continuity Program/Strategy

• Participates in developing, implementing and updating the enterprise wide business continuity program, strategies and initiatives; supports a culture of business continuity awareness; builds and maintains active relationships with business units to facilitate the program and initiatives.
• Business Impact Analysis
• Conducts Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and performs analysis to identify service gaps and define critical services and staffing needs.
• Business Continuity Plan
• Designs, develops, implements and maintains business continuity and emergency management plans.
• Has direct experience in writing business continuity and emergency plans with varying degrees of complexity and scope.
• Exercises and Education
• Coordinates, participates in and evaluates business continuity exercises to ensure appropriate preparedness levels; supports the development of and facilitates internal drills and table-top exercises.
Emergency Response

• Maintains awareness of emerging situations which could warrant an emergency response; supports mitigating potential business interruptions and responds, as assigned, to events impacting the continuation and survival of business services and operations.
Program Evaluation and Compliance

• Participates in evaluating the program to determine that business continuity plans meet regulatory requirements, best practices, laws, rules, compliance with industry standards, customer expectations, employee safety and financial guidelines; monitors feedback on program performance and service to business-unit leaders to recommend program changes and improvement.
External Relations and Communication

• Attends industry-association committees and business continuity forums; participates in regional interdependencies, emergency planning and disaster-recovery plans and exercises.

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in risk management, business continuity, or related field or equivalent experience.
