The City of Portland is currently hiring a Capital Project Manager within the Portland Bureau of Transportation!
This position, within the Capital Delivery Division, performs capital project management work and provides direction, support, coordination and assistance on a variety of transportation capital projects under the supervision of a Capital Project Manager IV.
Responsibilities include collaborative project development, affirming project scopes, assembling internal and external design teams, creation and tracking of project budgets and schedules, convening project team meetings, review of project deliverables, coordination with other PBOT workgroups, coordination with external bureaus and agencies, issue resolution, and public and stakeholder involvement.
The Capital Project Manager I position leads the delivery of small- to moderate-sized capital projects and ensures that projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and public involvement expectations.
An ideal candidate will have experience in infrastructure planning and/or delivery, such as project management, infrastructure design, engineering, construction, transportation planning, transportation policy, environmental assessment, right-of-way, infrastructure finance, public involvement, communications, or other related work.
The current vacancy is in the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT). Other bureaus may use the eligible list developed from this recruitment to fill future vacancies.
