POSITION SUMMARY:
This is an internal and a First Opportunity recruitment opportunity. In addition to performing on-call event set-up and being responsible for overall cleanliness of our convention center for various events, our custodians are relied upon to act as goodwill ambassadors of our venue. Expect to interact with a large volume of guests who will look to you for everything from help with directions, venue information, recommendations for restaurants and local transportation assistance and answering the most popular question "Where are the restrooms?"

Supervision is received from the Oregon Convention Center Set-Up Supervisors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of one year experience in facility cleaning or janitorial work. Experience cleaning in a fast-food or similar environment, business or multi-residential housing may substitute for facility/janitorial work; or any combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job.

Preferred
• Applicants with availability to work a variety of days and shifts to meet the needs of this position (a minimum of three shifts per week)
• Customer facing experience
