What you'll get to do:
Jama seeks a self-starter, dedicated wordsmith to join our Marketing team on a 6 month contract basis. As part of our Content Marketing team reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position will collaborate cross-departmentally with teams such as Product, Professional Services, and Sales, in order to create engaging and relevant content for prospects and customers. The successful candidate will use their interest in the world of complex product development to help optimize content to assist with driving leads and opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B marketing, blogging, brand and content development, as well as measuring the success of campaigns through analytics with a focus on pipeline growth and lead generation. A high attention to quality of content, along with experience copy editing, proofreading, and keyword optimization experience are also required.
This position will be directly employed through a third party agency during the contract period.
Produce creative and compelling content across multiple vehicles, in long and short formats, such as abstracts, marketing emails, company and product descriptions, blogs, white papers, collateral and website pages, in order to engage target audiences such as customers and prospects
Write with specific message targeting in mind in order to nurture leads and support sales
Proofread content for grammar and overall clarity of messaging
Collaborate with internal and external experts to understand positioning in different markets and key messaging across verticals
Publish frequent blog posts and promote via social media and paid placement opportunities
Assist other marketing functions with copy writing support for events, webinars campaigns, web site, social media and other channels
Work within tight deadlines across multiple projects to execute on our marketing programs
Monitor effectiveness of new and existing content and take the lead on coming up with solutions to improve our strategy, including various testing methods
Review and edit existing content, and be prepared to modify where required
Ensure content reflects our brand
Regular and ad hoc KPI reporting and analysis to measure the success of content
Support Digital team with SEO optimization of content assets and other related initiatives
Education and Experience:
3+ years of B2B Software/Technology content experience required
Demonstrated experience with marketing campaigns and email and landing page optimization best practices
Strong SEO writing capabilities
Previous experience authoring a range of content, including blog posts, white papers, customer stories, website copy, and marketing emails.
Wordpress, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, experience is a plus
Technical writing experience, as well as multimedia experience (videos, podcasts, etc) is a plus
Strong business acumen and knowledge of demand generation fundamentals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
