Metro is seeking an accomplished leader to serve as business partner and collaborator for the Property and Environmental Services (PES) Department.
The Finance Manager role encompasses nuts-and-bolts duties such as contract management, grant compliance, and budget analysis and development, along with higher-level work such as strategic planning, financial forecasting and project management. In this role, you will also participate on a team of finance managers and analysts who advise and support Metro’s Financial Planning Director, Chief Financial Officer, Deputy Chief Financial Officer and PES management.
We are looking for someone with strong management skills, extensive experience with budgeting and financial management, and a deep commitment to public service and diversity, equity and inclusion. • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration or a related field, AND
• Five years of related experience, including at least three years of experience leading or supervising staff and two years of experience in project management, OR
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
Experience relevant to this assignment should include budget development and oversight, and financial analysis and reporting. Experience obtained in an enterprise operation, public or private, is particularly relevant. Experience in a government sector is desirable but not required.
