AWS Cloud Developer (R1-19-0188)
As the AWS Cloud Developer, you will provide application software development services. Develop program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Code, test, debug and document software applications. Analyze requirements and tests and integrates application components. Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented.
Typical responsibilities include:
Designs, codes, tests, corrects and documents complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications and subsequent iterations using agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result. Takes part in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work.
Maintains application support processes and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures. Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports.
Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents according to agreed procedures. Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution. Escalates unresolved incidents. Facilitates recovery following resolution of incidents. Documents and closes resolved incidents according to agreed procedures.
Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services. Determines problem fixes/remedies. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and takes into account target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems. Delivers technical visualization of proposed applications for approval by customer and execution by system developers. Translates logical designs into physical designs and produces detailed design documentation. Maps work to user specification and removes errors and deviations from specification to achieve user-friendly processes.
Defines the integration build, accepts software modules from software developers and produces software builds for loading onto the target environment. Configures the hardware environment, produces integration test specifications and conducts tests, recording details of any failures and carrying out fault diagnosis.

Knowledge of database concepts
Knowledge of infrastructure concepts
Knowledge of service continuity planning and support
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, management or other related field or equivalent experience. Typically, five or more years in related field.
