The Clackamas County Board of County Commissioners and County Administration is seeking a highly energetic, organized and self-directed individual who is great with details and multitasking for an immediate opening as an Administrative Board Assistant 1. This position provides the full range of administrative and advanced clerical support to the Board of County Commissioners and the County Administrator.

The Administrative Board Assistant 1 performs a variety of reception, bookkeeping and administrative support for the Board of County Commissioners and County Administration, which includes County Administrator, Deputy County Administrator and Assistant County Administrators, and professional staff. The Administrative Board Assistant 1 also responds to and resolves citizen complaints, both in writing and over the telephone. Duties involve frequent contact with other public officials, governmental agencies, citizens, the press and County department staff. Discretion and independent judgment are essential in handling politically sensitive and confidential issues. The five-member Board of County Commissioners serves as the governing body, directing the general administration of County government.
