Corrections Health is looking for two (2) Nursing Supervisors help us continue providing services to inmates in the Multnomah County jails; downtown Justice Center and Inverness jail.

The two working schedule for these positions would be Monday to Thursday 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm and Friday 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm with alternating Fridays off.

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operation and patient care coordination on an ongoing basis for Corrections Health in coordination with the Program Manager and Lead Nurse. These positions directly observes practice, skills, client interaction, reviews staff documentation, and assures the delivery of evidence based interventions in the care of clients and communities of the county.

In addition, Nursing Supervisors will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
Supervising, directing, coordinating, evaluating and participating in Corrections Health activities
Perform work requiring technical knowledge of nursing care, the application of management skills, initiative and judgment in anticipating and determining program requirements such as health education and nursing materials management
Coaches, counsels and disciplines for performance and works with nursing and administrative leadership to assure the continuity of care and compliance with the rules of licensure and practice. Conducts performance evaluations.
Perform work independently following clinical and program guidelines and policies
Review applications, interview and hire assigned personnel
Assure appropriate training and coaching has occurred for new staff, on-call and students based upon level of access and scope of practice; Coach and mentor newly hired or transferred employees to assure full competent level; and facilitates preceptor connection for those newly hired or transferred to location
