Hourly Pay Range: $34.232620 - $46.214566
Starting salaries will be within the posted pay range based on job-related factors such as experience, training and/or education.

Clackamas County Health Centers is looking to fill a critical lead position as a Clinic Operations Nurse Supervisor at the Beavercreek Clinic location.
Clackamas County Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) organization, providing primary medical care, dental care, and mental health care to communities in the county of Clackamas, located in the Portland metropolitan area. Our clinical sites are located in Oregon City, Clackamas, Gladstone, and Sandy for easy access by the community. As an FQHC, the Health Centers provide health care to Oregon Health Plan members, uninsured and underinsured families in Clackamas County.

Clackamas Health Centers Clinic Operations Nurse Supervisors lead the efforts within our clinics to improve and enhance quality nursing services, including program design, treatment methods, staff assignments and allocation of resources. As a Cliniical Operations Nurse Supervisor you will operate as a member of a clinic leadership team to provide mentorship and direction to clinic staff, and oversee daily clinic operational needs including problem resolution and creating and maintaining systems that ensure high quality patient care.

The successful candidate for this position will have opportunity to work with a vibrant community, from urban to rural residents, and to impact the health and well-being of patients of all ages, focusing on the patient as an individual.
Working with clinic managers and the leadership team, the Clinic Operations Nurse Supervisor oversees the provision of direct patient care and treatment, health promotion, infection control, and education of clinic nursing and medical assistant staff. The Nurse Supervisor will provide clinic level leadership in the areas of clinic safety, quality improvement, and quality control, to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.
Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• Possession of a license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of Oregon
• At least 3 years of experience working as an RN in a primary/community care clinic setting
• Demonstrated experience providing leadership, clinical staff education, and competency in staff development, training and performance evaluation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must possess and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
• Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test. Learn more about the County's drug testing policy.
• Must pass a criminal history check which may include national or state fingerprint records check
• Driving may be necessary for County business. For position(s) with occasional/incidental driving, incumbents must possess a valid driver's license. Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
1. Supervises, coaches and mentors RNs, CMAs and other non-licensed staff including clinical skill teaching, competency reviews, shadowing and rounding in order to ensure quality service to Health Centers patients. Assures OSBN, OSHA, and other professional standards for staff training are met.
2. Hires and supervises professional and paraprofessional staff to provide quality service to county residents; conducts and/or facilitates staff orientation, training and development programs.
3. Contributes to and assures advancement of Quality improvement and Quality Control: Oversees new workflow roll outs and the maintenance of standard work.
4. Administers one or more Health Centers projects including vaccine management, reproductive health program management, medication administration and dispensing, and other programs as needed. Assists in evaluating program needs and developing program services; develops and recommends policies, procedures, goals and priorities, coordinates services with other Division programs and outside agencies.
5. Prepares performance evaluations; recommends and administers progressive discipline.
6. Oversees clinic safety: Promotes and assures adherence to Health Centers policy regarding safe patient care.
7. Working with the clinic management team, oversees daily operational needs of the clinic(s) or program area, including problem resolution and establishing systems to ensure smooth operations; participates in clinic or program operations and quality assurance activities; receives and responds to patient and staff concerns. coordinates purchase and repair of medical and dental supplies and equipment.
8. Performs clinical nursing skills as needed. Provides professional nursing services, physical examinations and laboratory tests as needed; coordinates with Director of Nursing, the Medical Director and/or Dental Director on standard of care and scope of practice as needed.
Thorough Knowledge of: Principles, methods and procedures of nursing as applied to primary care practice; prevention and/or early detection of communicable diseases, infection control; chronic diseases, handicapping conditions, mental illness and other disabling conditions; principles and techniques of program planning and personnel management; participative management theories; principles and techniques of supervision; principles and practices of assigned health care programs; applicable Federal, State, and local statutes, regulations and rules; health care program(s) policies and procedures.
Working Knowledge of: Preventive medicine and sanitation; community nursing programs, including continuity of patient care, principles of case management; techniques of teaching preventive health care to individuals and groups; procedures involved in promoting good health and providing for health needs of clients; sociological, psychological and physical problems involved in public health nursing; community resources available for assistance in public health programs.
Skill to: direct staff in continuous efforts to improve quality productivity and effectiveness; incorporate team participation in decision making. Administer community health programs under minimal supervision; evaluate effectiveness of program services and staff and initiate improvements; direct staff in continuous efforts to improve quality productivity and effectiveness; incorporate team participation in decision making; respond to changes desired by citizens and County staff; analyze situations accurately and take effective action; prepare specialized education programs; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; prepare clear and concise reports.
This position works 40 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Friday, within the open hours of the clinic. The Beavercreek Clinic hours are 8:00am to 7:00pm.
Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended. An alternative or compressed work schedule may be considered based on candidate interest and business needs
