Metro's Information Services Department is pleased to accept applications for a Systems Administrator within our Infrastructure Systems team. This position provides advanced support for the agency to ensure effective utilization and proper management of network operations which primarily consists of maintaining, troubleshooting, optimizing and documenting computer network infrastructure (including servers, network services, connectivity devices and various systems). Experience supporting an enterprise network, virtual server environment, VoIP, storage and security is strongly encouraged.

A few of the systems that this position works with and manages include;
• Cisco UCS, VoIP, switching, wireless and video conferencing
• EMC storage systems
• Palo Alto Firewalls
• VMWare VSphere
• Microsoft Server, SCCM and SQL Server
• Microsoft Exchange and Office

In addition to performing advanced monitoring and maintenance, this position will work with a wide audience and be responsible for providing support for a variety of projects which support the overall agency in making the region a great place. Metro departments include both our headquarters and remote sites and consist of; Property and Environmental Services, Parks and Nature, Planning and Development, visitor venues (including Portland'5 Centers for the Arts, Portland Expo Center, Oregon Convention Center and the Oregon Zoo) and other internal departments.

Bachelor's Degree and four years of related professional experience; or any combination of experience and education that provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the job.

Preference may be given to individuals with experience supporting enterprise networks, wireless, virtual server environments, VoIP, and various storage and security systems.
