Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington is seeking After School Activities Leaders to support our Latina Engagement Program throughout the school year. Our After School Activities Leaders work with girls in grades K-8 at schools and community organizations to facilitate girl-lead curriculum in subjects including STEM, the arts, health living, and leadership development.

In this role, employees have a great opportunity to develop skills including education curriculum delivery, community networking, program management, and leadership development.

Activities Leaders support girls in primarily Latinx programs, so strong Spanish-language skills are required.

The Position: This is a part-time, seasonal position, paying $14/hour.
This position is scheduled 6 – 12 hours per week, 2 days per week (Monday & Wednesday, or Tuesday & Thursday), during after-school hours. Programs run September through May 2020.

Experience working with groups of children, ages 5-14 years
Experience planning/organizing and supervising activities for groups of children
Experience working with diverse populations
Spanish language proficiency
Able to complete required administrative paperwork and tasks
Computer proficiency
Strong skills in organization, communication, problem solving
Able to pick-up and deliver supplies to assigned location, including lifting up to 20 pounds
Reliable transportation and ability to travel within assigned geographic area and to trainingWoodburn

Facilitate Girl Scout Programs for 10-20 girls in grades K-8
Manage program supplies
Track program attendance
Complete administrative tracking and documentation associated with program
Manage program registration/administration within assigned program site
Serve as liaison between assigned program site and main service center
Serve as a positive role model for girls in program and engage in Girl Scouts Leadership Experience model

Location: This position will work out of a school and/or community location in NE Portland/Gresham, Woodburn, Forest Grove, Salem, Medford, or Eugene. Please indicate which location you are interested in during your application process.
