Summary:
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) leads the IT department and is responsible for overall quality assurance, security, IT internal customer service, and development of IT data and information. Some of the core responsibilities include:
✓ Being a strategic partner with the Executive Leadership Team to drive operational excellence.
✓ Leading the IT Department to be a business value enabler.
✓ Utilizing Business Intelligence and Analytics to provide guidance to leaders in the organization to
make well informed decisions.
✓ Ensure compliance with state and federal confidentiality to include, privacy and security
regulations, HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
✓ Develop and maintain strong customer service-based relationship with internal customers.
✓ Cultivate a high performing IT department.
Minimum Qualifications:
✓ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Systems or a related field required, Master’s
Degree preferred.
✓ Ten (10) years of progressive professional experience in managing information technology and
information systems.
✓ Three (3) years of Senior IT Leadership.
✓ Must have extensive knowledge of systems integration and information exchange technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
✓ Strong preference for experience guiding organizational IT strategy within a health services
organization.
✓ Knowledge and experience in Health Information Technology, including HER deployment and
management.
✓ Experience in ITIL.
