Sr IT Solutions Architect /Principal IT Solutions Architect – R1-19-0835

Solution Architect, IT Customer Applications
This role will architect and develop technology solutions across a broad spectrum of customer service applications, products, and business problems. Key outcomes include reducing the friction between PGE and our customers, improving operational efficiency, and implementing solutions that support a changing energy future, and evolving customer needs.

You will own the architecture for customer support applications, including but not limited to, a customer care and billing system, meter data management, integration to many internal and external applications and vendors, interactive voice response, and all associated processes.

You will develop and drive the implementation of reference models, reference architecture, technical design, design patterns, reusable frameworks, and best practices in alignment with the architecture standards.

You will research and develop specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. This role will also combine knowledge of best in class emerging technologies, PGE current platforms and architecture, and the changing requirements of business users and customers to develop and maintain a future state multi-year roadmap including automation, system integrations and interfaces, data models, and performance targets.

This role is posted at two levels, Senior and Principal.

Senior IT Solutions Architect: Education/Experience/Certifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering management or equivalent work experience in related discipline.
Typically, eight or more years of experience in a related field.
Prior Solution Architecture leadership in defining Customer Information System and Meter Data Management solution design and strategy.
Experience developing functional designs and technical specifications for customization, interfaces, and reports.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge in customer ERP, CRM, billing, payment, and meter systems, with preference for Oracle CC&B, MDM, and SGG experience.
Strong knowledge of schemas. (tables & relationships)
Designer or architect level experience with frameworks, such as Oracle Utilities Application Framework. (OUAF)
Successful full lifecycle implementation experience
Working knowledge of WebSphere and messaging, or other similar technologies
Advanced knowledge of SOA-based integration technologies and architectures
Thorough knowledge of enterprise architecture and enterprise application integration design patterns
Working knowledge of application development integration standards and protocols
Preference for architect experience in at least two implementations in one of the following - Energy, Electricity, Gas, or Water
TOGAF, ITIL, ARCHIMATE certification preferred.
Oracle CC&B, MDM, or other ERP and CRM certifications preferred

Principal Solution Architect: Education/Experience/Certifications
