Test Engineer IV - Instrumentation

HYG is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence on the organization and the Test Operations team. This position plays an important role in the validation of all new products. This individual interacts with all aspects of the organization, including design, test, marketing, manufacturing, and procurement, to ensure we deliver quality lift trucks that meet customer requirements and acceptance. Supervise Instrumentation calibration, repair and documentation services in compliance with ISO 9001 certification requirements.
Provide customer support services including guidance of instrument and sensor selection, data recording equipment, calibration, and 3D printing.
Coordinate efforts with Global team members to improve consistency and usage of HYG equipment
Create and track budgets for instrumentation equipment, maintenance, and outside calibration services.
Perform audits of instrument lab processes and checkout methods to ensure traceability tracking
Lead instrumentation training plan for all members of Product Validation
Coordinate process improvement in all Instrument Lab activities.
Troubleshoot and repair measurement devices
Develop plan to bring new measurement tools that support lab capabilities
Supervision of lab technicians.
The successful instrumentation engineer will meet the following minimum qualifications:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to Quality: Follow established procedures and be attentive to details to ensure accuracy in testing and documentation.
Decision Making: Exhibit good judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; demonstrate ability to take decisive actions to develop product or resolve issues.
Systematic Problem solving: Demonstrate ability to apply basic principles and methods to resolve product issues.
Teamwork and Flexibility: Function well in a team environment by working well with other employees and other departments.
Occasional travel may be required (less than 5% total time)
Bachelors of Science related to Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 10 years industry experience
ASQ certification in CCT Instrumentation Calibration a plus.
Specialized knowledge/skill in industrial vehicle/automotive technology.
Specialized knowledge/skill in engineering test procedures.
Specialized knowledge/skill in project management and planning.
Experienced in managing 2-4 member test team.
Experience managing a monthly project budget
