Salary: $18.50 - $22.97 hourly
Part-time shifts vary in times of day/days of the week and will be scheduled based on frequency of events and labor workforce needs. We are hiring for multiple positions.
Flexible schedule and willingness to work a variety of hours and shifts as needed. This position requires availability to work six 8 hours shifts each week.
The probation period is 6 months or 400 hours at $18.50 hourly; with the completion of probation the rate goes up to $22.97 hourly.
The Oregon Convention Center Production Services team provides first class Audio Visual (AV) services in a fast-paced, high volume, fun environment. Our clients run the gamut from a non-profit organization having a small board meeting to worldwide televised sports events and everything in-between. You will find opportunities to do work that will challenge you to learn and grow no matter what your background is.
This technical position specializes in professional video and audio engineering, signal distribution, imaging technologies and teamwork. Duties of this position include all aspects of daily AV operations and service delivery, user level equipment maintenance and project support. Sets-up, calibrates and maintains equipment for audio, video and lighting needs.
Troubleshoots and tests equipment and network configurations/connections in preparation for meetings, presentations, exhibits and events held in meeting rooms, ballrooms and large exhibit halls. Works with presenters and customers to coordinate presentations, educate users on systems, train key customers on user operations, set-up tools and work with vendors on issues and capabilities. May provide leadership and guidance to subcontracted staff and assist with orientation of new members of the work group.

A minimum of two (2) years of experience operating audio visual equipment, high school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training that would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the successful performance of the essential job duties.
Preferred: Three (3) years of live events experience.
