The Sr. Director, Global Product Integrity leads and champions Columbia’s culture of quality enabling delivery of best in class processes to ensure the quality of products across Brand, Product Creation, and Operational functions. The role will be accountable for building and delivering process and solutions for Apparel and Footwear, providing leadership and structure to drive a seamless culture of Quality Assurance across the business.

The owner of this position will possess solid leadership skills through Brand & Operations experience demonstrating a successful background in enhancing the consumer experience and building brand loyalty through the implementation of quality initiatives. The position will be responsible to lead a group of diverse stakeholders to successfully optimize and create new scalable quality assurance processes supporting sustainable growth and increased perceived value of brand and products.

The role will leverage process and technology to reduce waste, cost, and time to maximize revenue through optimizing efficiencies, creating a positive emotional connection with the consumer through flawless product execution. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional communication, relationship-building, and influencing capability across all levels of the organization, including top level executives, liaison offices and manufacturing vendors.


Global Quality Strategy & Transition Management Leadership
•Responsible to oversee and drive the execution of an integrated quality assurance strategy by brand and across both Apparel & Footwear product lines. This includes the design, roll out, and adoption of global process change and supporting transition solutions to allow greater seamless coordination between brand and operational functions.
•Establish relationships and work closely with constituents from across the matrix to gain operational efficiencies and enhance alignment from concept to the consumer. Strive to drive metric based processes and solutions to facilitate well-coordinated decision-making across the organization to ensure product performance.
•Partner with relevant Executive Change Agents and/or Business Leaders to ensure preparedness, understanding and adoption of new global Quality Assurance processes and tools.
•Leads via influence with a consistent global lens to ensure brand-led and consumer-focused quality processes are optimized and scalable across divisions, categories, and regions.
•Ensure quality assurance processes align and support brand, product line, and category strategic priorities.
•Creates strategic work plans and monitor progress to ensure smooth project implementation and creation of sustainable practices are reinforced.
•Partner with relevant brand and operational leaders to expand awareness of quality assurance, outline and instill responsibilities across functions, and amplify the voice of consumer through shared data & metrics across the organization.
•Aim to create a learning organization aligned towards enhancing the consumer experience and improving the value proposition of product, brand, and shareholders.
•Create and ensure policies, processes, brand-led targeted performance standards are supported across brands, operations, and regions.

Key Functional Responsibilities
•Ensure solutions employed within Brand & Operations align with proven Quality Assurance standard processes.
•Collaborates with a global team consisting Brand, Operations, Apparel & Footwear to set quality strategy roadmap, goals, metrics, and objectives (via policy development/deployment).
•Excels at solving complex situations requiring the capacity to dig beyond obvious factors.
•Consult and informs others when decision making, draw parallels from the past, and consider future context when defining a path forward.
•Establish collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality.
•Lead the research, selection, and business case development for software-based Quality Management Systems for Apparel | Footwear.
•Develop a hierarchy of KPIs and a consolidated scorecard to measure quality performance and operational excellence across all manufacturing locations.
•Develop and implement policies and processes to ensure company quality standards are detailed, robust and consistent.
•Drive improvements in manufacturing process capability, leading to overall defect and rework reductions across all manufacturing locations.
•Strong aptitude for identifying creative solutions and encouraging this same mindset in others is necessary to keep work moving forward despite a variety of obstacles.
•Ensures project/program priorities align to deliver strategic priorities.
•Provide project leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Quality Assurance stakeholders – brand or operations - to ensure ongoing project alignment.


•Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience
•10+ years of experience as a results oriented leader with experience leading global teams and delivering strategic business process and technology programs
•5+ years of Brand / Marketing / Sales experience preferred
•5+ years in manufacturing, product integrity, or supply chain role, with strong end to end business acumen
•3+ years of experience with end-to-end business process lifecycle management which includes; analytics and testing to ensure that projects deliver on defined business requirements.
•Strong knowledge of Brand position, product creation, manufacturing and supply chain business processes, preferably in the Apparel / Footwear industry
•Prior experience in building global relationships and a collaborative team environment.
•Able to think and execute strategically and tactically
•Experience with providing direction, planning, communication, and ensuring effective teamwork on enterprise level projects
•Superior communication, leadership, influencing, and presentation skills
•Ability to manage and adapt to dynamic changes in priorities, resources and deadlines.
•Excels in leading though ambiguity
•Ability to build effective relationships with senior management, vendors and employees
•Balanced view and proven results on Quality Assurance, aligning Brand/Operations.
•Experience in the implementation of an enterprise-wide Integrated Quality Mgmt System preferred, but not required.
•Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification preferred, but not required.
