Global Platform Leader – Telematics

Role and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for developing and delivering world-class Telematics solutions for production and aftermarket across all product lines and market theaters to achieve HYG growth objectives for Telematics business. The solutions include on-truck modules (hardware/software), carrier services, portal development for front office and back office capabilities. Responsible for new development projects with vendors and partners and meeting PAR (Project Appropriation Requests) commitments.

Strategy & Plans: Develop Telematics product strategy and define 5-year product development cycle plans with PLSG (Product Line Strategy Group) to meet AOP/LRFF share growth plans for all market theaters worldwide.
External Partnerships: Identify partners and develop investment proposals and PARs for new product development projects.
New Development Projects: Lead product development projects with internal teams and external partners to deliver market differentiated Telematics solutions.
Sales Support: Partner with Sales and Marketing to grow market share. Provide necessary content and support for developing Sales tools and training.
Customer Feedback: Engage with dealer and national account channels to understand customer satisfaction and product improvement opportunities.
Technology Trends: Monitor emerging technologies and enhance the value of our solutions, user interfaces, system integrations, business analytics, etc.
Business Targets: Assess customer satisfaction, quality/warranty, cost/margin, and share, and define product improvement plans to meet the business targets.
Team Leadership: Develop and manage the Telematics platform team to achieve market share growth objectives. Platform team includes Vehicle Integration Leader for Engineering, Customer Service Leader for Back Office and Business Analyst Leader for Front Office Portal solutions.
Qualifications:

B.S. in Engineering, MBA preferred.
10 years of industry experience in product development and managing or supporting commercial fleet operations utilizing telematics solutions.
Knowledge of Telematics technologies and solution providers.
Entrepreneurial spirit with drive to grow business.
Strong project management with proactive risk mitigation and negotiation skills to effectively manage multiple projects of varying complexity in a cross functional environment.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and able to effectively tailor communications to a diverse group of business and technical stakeholders.
Be a self-starter that can work well both independently and as a team.
