The Retail Marketing & Business Development Manager creates, executes and evaluates annual marketing plans for Columbia, SOREL and Mountain Hardwear Brand stores with the primary goal of building brand enhancing programs that focus on increasing location awareness, driving measurable traffic and increasing conversion rates.



Responsibilities:
•Create, communicate and execute annual marketing plans that support Brand Marketing & Retail Marketing initiatives.
•Partner with internal departments and external agencies to develop and execute integrated marketing programs to drive traffic to retail stores. Seek support and collaboration with multi channel team including Advertising, In-store Marketing, PR, Promotions, Social Media, Merchant Team, Digital, Community Relations and Creative.
•Ensure plan is in line with Brand and Retail Operational goals. Work to align Product Merchandising, In-store Marketing, Digital and Store Operations with annual retail marketing communications plan.
•Lead and Develop Brand Store Business Development team aimed at business-to-business sales, community outreach and hosted local events to help stores hit and exceed revenue targets.
•Develop programs to be managed and implemented at store level to allow localization of marketing efforts by Store staff.
•Establish and maintain turnkey “Eventsin a Box” to support technologies and seasonal initiatives for retail teams to use at events and in store.
•Prospect for new business leads, build strategic relationships and develop a strong referral base for branded stores.
•Represent Columbia, SOREL and MountainHardwear at external events including traveling with or on the behalf of the Retail Marketing Team to selected events or sponsorships.
•Create, communicate internally, seek alignment from manager, retail operations team and ultimately execute Grand Opening marketing plans for new Brand Stores.
•Manage Gift Card Visual Centers and Programs with eCommerce, In-Store, Retail Operations Partners, Finance, Production and B2B partners


Requirements:
•Possess 5-8 years of professional experience related to brand, retail, event marketing, field marketing,business development and/or sales and/or marketing communications.
•Successful experience building and leading teams with specific sales targets.
•Experience working with Advertising, PR,Social Media and Promotions agencies to develop retail specific campaigns and launches.
•Experience with in-store marketing including windows, fixtures, permanent and soft graphics
•Familiarity with the Gift Card industry,programs, promotions, vendors and capabilities
•Specific market knowledge of Portland,Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Dallas, New York City, Miami,Orlando and/or company-owned store experience a plus.
