This position is located in the Power Services, Energy Efficiency Planning and Evaluation (PEH) organization. The purpose of this position is perform the duties of a Senior Operations Research Analyst to provide power and environmental value to customer utilities of the Pacific Northwest through analysis of the business practices, rate structures, energy resource planning and operating characteristics of public utilities.
As an Operations Research Analyst, you will:
Serve as a Senior Operations Research Analyst responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing studies of marked difficulty and responsibility in support of the functions of the organization.
Plan, coordinate, and execute studies of marked difficulty; including using judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness to resolve specific complex and/or intricate issues and problems.
Coordinate and direct the work of analysts to accomplish portion of research tasks to complete energy efficiency studies.
Set up the problem; conduct background research; collect and reduce data; display data for analysis; formulate mathematical expressions; and draw conclusions.
Develop new methods and criteria; and/or propose new policies and practices.
Develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations and to present, explain, and defend controversial issues.
