Marketing Outreach Manager (R-19-1637)

This is an exciting time to join Portland General Electric. As Oregon’s largest electric utility, Portland General Electric is leading an energy transformation that will harness the power of clean and renewable resources on behalf of all customers. Our vision for a clean energy future relies on three interrelated and overarching strategies: decarbonize through investing in clean and reliable energy; modernize through a smarter more resilient grid; and empower our customers in their energy technology choices.

The Marketing Outreach Manager will manage a team involved in key stakeholder outreach and intelligence gathering to effectively position PGE and its offerings in the communities we serve. Part of the team will be focused on outreach to residential customers in the just-launched Smart Grid Test Bed communities in Hillsboro, Milwaukie and the Overlook neighborhood in North Portland where PGE is looking at how we and our customers can use energy through new technologies, programs and products to help bring more renewable energy onto the grid while keeping the energy we provide reliable and affordable. The other part of the team is focused on business development efforts to bring large business customers into PGE’s service area and promote the use of electric modalities in new developments and ventures. This team works with key stakeholders, including local, state and regional economic development organizations, municipalities, as well as key industry and nonprofit organizations, and has an integral role in influencing strategy and change at PGE.

Our ideal candidate is someone who has an affinity for community engagement, has economic development experience, strong business acumen, and is an effective communicator. If you’re someone who supports diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives that guide and shape relationships with stakeholders regarding equitable energy policy, has a passion for cultural understanding, improving community development, collaborating, and cares about addressing climate change, this may be the job for you!

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, economics or other related field, and eight years’ experience in related field, or equivalent education and experience.

Join us today and power your potential!
