Washington County Community Corrections serves an important role in keeping our community safe. This department works to prevent the recurrence of crime among adult offenders by supervising them and connecting them with the resources they need to change problem behavior. Community Corrections supervises approximately 3,600 offenders using a range of evidence-based strategies, while working in partnership with the Courts, law enforcement, and the state Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision.
Washington County Community Corrections is currently recruiting for both Probation and Parole Officers I and II. Depending on qualifications, appointments to these positions could be as either a Probation and Parole Officer I or II. The pay ranges for these positions are:
PROBATION and PAROLE OFFICER I - $27.30 - $34.83 per hour
PROBATION and PAROLE OFFICER II - $31.60 - $40.36 per hour
Probation and Parole Officer I incumbents will advance through flexible staffing to the Probation and Parole Officer II after attaining Probation and Parole Certification through the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST).
Designated bilingual positions require that the incumbent have knowledge of the Spanish language, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Skill in writing Spanish accurately; ability to speak Spanish fluently; and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
