The Sales Executive II LifeMap is responsible for the sale of LifeMap products and services within the defined territory. Works closely with producers to effect the package sale of LifeMap products within the defined territory. Contributes to the overall success of the corporation by being a member of an effective sales team. Works directly with Agents and Brokers in LifeMap ancillary products.

Responsibilities & Requirements
Interacts with, agents, and groups to promote the sale of new business and resolve problems in the assigned territory.
Conducts group life and disability sales presentations in the assigned territory.
Trains Regence employees on the details of LifeMap products, services, and administration in the assigned territory.
Negotiates prices/contracts with Agents, underwriters, and policyowners. Develops creative solutions for customers while ensuring compliance with LifeMap Underwriting requirements.
Develops strategies for sales, cross selling, and developing assigned Agents/Brokers books of business.
Develops new and maintains (strengthens) existing sales distribution channels.Keeps current on new developments in the marketplace to identify problems, trends, solutions, and takes the appropriate steps to ensure that information critical to the success fo the Company is utilized.
Assists in developing life and disability training programs for Agents / Brokers, and internal LifeMap Sales Staff.
Responsible for keeping abreast of the competitive activities and trends in the life and disability industry.
Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of all internal procedures as they affect both sales, service, underwriting, and compliance issues.
Competencies and Knowledge:
Knowledge of life and health insurance practices as related to group life, STD and LTD, claims processing,
billing and contracts.
Superior Sales expertise.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Ability to conduct clear and concise presentations for brokers and groups.
Strong negotiating and presentation skills

Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals and groups related to adding new lines of coverage and servicing existing accounts.

Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above:
The Sales Executive II LifeMap would have a Bachelor’s degree and three years of sales experience preferably in the employee benefits field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must hold a valid Driver's License.
Must be currently licensed, or must become licensed within 60 days of hire, to sell insurance (health, life, and/or disability) in the state or states where business is conducted. Prior to receiving a license staff are not allowed to engage in soliciting or selling activities.
