Reed College seeks a warm and unflappable person to be our next Campus Visit and Events Coordinator in our Office of Admission. The Campus Visit and Events Coordinator manages event logistics to create memorable and impactful visits for prospective Reed students and their families. This role works closely with the front desk staff of the Office of Admission.

This is a full-time role. A full-time work week at Reed College is 37.5 hours, and typical work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday with a one-hour unpaid lunch; however this role requires occasional evening and weekend work. Pay for this position is $20.60/hour.

-You have at least two years’ experience in a professional events planning role or a role with a significant events planning component.

-Correspond with prospective students and families about campus visits and events. Provide general information about admission to the college.
-Coordinate events both on and off-campus for prospective students and admitted students. Manage registration, catering, room reservations, room set up and event follow up.
-Act as liaison with other campus offices, regarding admission events. Assist others on campus to meet their deadlines for event logistics in a manner that is helpful and gracious.
-Use Slate, the admission office’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, to enter prospective student information, manage event and visit registration, and maintain calendars and forms.
-Run the event registration table at events, including coordinating staff on the day of events.
-Accurately forecast the office’s event budget and manage expenses within the budget.
-Schedule class visits and interviews for visitors.
-Provide back-up administrative support to the Vice President and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid as well as to the Director of Admission.
-Provide back-up front desk support for the office.
-Take responsibility for ensuring that events go smoothly and prospective students and their families have a positive experience.
