Manager, Application Development – R-29-1309
We are looking for an experienced Application Development Manager to join our Customer Strategy and Operations technology team. This team is responsible for implementing the technology to make exceptional experiences for PGE customers. You will lead the Customer Care and Billing application team in the performance and delivery of technology solutions, all while leveraging your proven skills guiding and developing individuals by providing them the tools and methods needed for success.
Additionally, you will drive vendor relationships, project outcomes, business case value realization, resource strategy / planning, financial forecasting / management, and process, people and technology efficiency. Using automation, documented processes, performance management, and mastery of resource planning, you will be responsible for ensuring we deliver value to our customers through exceptional leadership.
You will support our journey by:
Providing application software development services for the Customer teams. Lead the development of new applications and / or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Codes, tests, debugs and documents software applications. Analyze requirements, tests and integrates application components. Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented.
You will bring the following skills to our team:
• 8+ years of experience in a related field or similar role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience and fluency with various methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, DevOps
• Understanding of SDLC’s and QA processes and functions
• Analytical abilities, able to logically break down and troubleshoot problems, processes, and technology
• Understanding of current and emerging technologies and processes used in energy and customer service sectors
• Understanding of software development languages, tools, and emerging industry concepts (e.g. cloud, IaaS, SaaS, test driven development).
• Business, math and financial acumen
