Position Description

Job Title: Human Resources Manager Reports to: Director of Finance & Operations Hours: 40 hours
per week

Base Salary: $61,900 – 71,400; w/ Full Benefits: $70,960 – 80,750 (Paid medical, dental, vision,
life, disability, 401K)

Position Summary

The Human Resource Manager (HR) is responsible for implementing HR policies and programs, managing
all aspects of employee relations and the full employment life cycle of Project Access NOW’s 40+
employees. This position will provide support to Program Managers, Supervisors, and Executive
team by managing organizational development, performance management, training, coaching,
as well as compensation and benefits administration. The ideal candidate would be resourceful and
have excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience with HIPAA compliance, cultural
effectiveness, and language accessibility are preferred, but will also be developed on the job.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

● Oversee recruitment and hiring process including creation and maintenance of job descriptions

● Work with Program Managers and Supervisors to conduct performance evaluations

● Advise on HR policies and best practices

● Assist with facilitation of training sessions, staff coaching and direct disciplinary
procedures, as appropriate

● Maintain Policies and Procedures, including Employee Handbook

● Manage employee benefits programs

● Support strategic objectives

● Mediate resolution of issues between personnel

● Support organization’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives

● Other duties as assigned


● BS/BA degree and 5 or more years of experience working in progressively responsible human
resource roles

● Proven management and/or leadership ability with strong interpersonal skills

● Experience managing diverse teams

● Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite

● Creative, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

● Strong, professional communication skills, both verbal and written

● Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

● High level of organizational skills

● Ability to develop and facilitate training programs

● Ability to analyze processes and determine opportunities for improvement

● Bilingual and multicultural staff are highly desired
