The Department Head Stagehand – Electrician position functions as a working supervisor and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the electrical department operations including, maintenance, repair, placement, handling, setting, striking, dismantling, safety and operation of all lighting equipment comprising part of the stage or used on stage. Under the supervision of the production supervisor or the assistant production supervisor, the electrical department head supervises the use of house and user equipment and installation of user equipment. Workload varies with each theatre and show and includes collaborating with show personnel and management representatives to meet show needs. Manages the work of Electrics Department personnel, and ensures adherence to stage safety procedures in all departments.

High School diploma or GED and five years experience in stage trades, including three years of experience as a stage electrician; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired knowledge, skills and ability required to perform the job. Possession of current State of Oregon Limited Journey Stage electrical license required. Possession of, or the ability and willingness to obtain, a current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certificate.
Entertainment Electrician and Portable Power Distribution certification (ETCP) a plus.
