Mental Health Associates assists in the implementation of individual treatment by providing services specific to an individual’s master treatment plan in order to attain mental health stability. This position will collaborate with Mental Health Clinicians, LMP’s, the LDE Program Manager, and Walk in Service Coordinator. Ideal applicants will be organized, flexible, team orientated and have a positive attitude.
Program Design and Duties:
Have frequent and consistent contact with assigned clients.
Provide services in a clinic based setting and community settings as medically necessary.
Assist clients in connecting to eligible benefits such as SNAP benefits, Oregon Health Plan, or Social Security Disability.
Assist individuals in developing and/or maintaining ADL’s in a responsible manner.
Assist individuals in developing and maintaining self-care, socialization, and physical and emotional growth.
Provide supportive engagement directed at solving daily problems related to community living and interpersonal relationships.
Provide psycho-educational activities oriented to the alleviation and management of psychiatric disorders (e.g. navigating the community in order to enhance self-sufficiency).
Accompany individuals to DHS, SSA, medical prescriber visits, shopping, and clinical appointments as needed.
Support Service Coordinators (clinicians) by assisting individuals in utilizing symptom management strategies to prevent relapse of both mental health symptoms and substance use.
Provide other rehabilitative supports necessary to develop social relationships and to ensure comfort with independent participation in the community as recommended by Service Coordinators.
Administer UDS’s as recommended by Service Coordinators.
Provide secondary coverage for front desk staff
Deliver medications to home bound clients as required.
Performs other duties as requested.
Skills activity groups as assigned to equip clients with coping skills such as symptom management, conflict resolution, money management, med management, and health and fitness.
Community connections and peer support are an essential component in psychosocial interactions. Residents will develop the necessary skills to be able to integrate with low cost community resources such as the public library, parks and recreation, churches and food banks.
Document all client contact within 72 hours of services.
Utilize centralized scheduling on a daily basis to account for contact with clients, meetings, trainings, and other non-billable activities.
Provide crisis documentation as needed

Attend and participate in required meetings
Follow all corporate policies, procedures, and protocols
Maintain driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance to cover work related usage.
Maintain CPR and First Aid Certificate
Follow through on all directives and instructions
Adhere to regular work schedule
Follow all company policies and procedures
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or similar Human Services field
QHMA credentials or ability to apply for QMHA per MHACBO criteria
