The SOREL Site Marketing Manager is an important member of the SOREL Global Brand Marketing and North America Ecommerce team, responsible for owning and marshalling the comprehensive email strategy to foster consumer loyalty, increase retention, deliver on sales growth objectives, and increase consumer lifetime value.
The person in this role will contribute to the growth, profitability, and innovation of SOREL.com through the strategic development of email messaging inclusive of marketing, triggered, and operational email programs.
This role will maintain and enhance our existing email marketing and messaging strategy with a focus on increased segmentation, relevancy, and qualified email database acquisition that achieve brand, consumer, and commerce performance goals.
•Develops, manages, and executes email marketing calendar across all email tiers including timing, cadence, promotional, and segmentation plans
•Partner closely with internal Creative, E-commerce, Marketing, and Merchandising teams to craft messaging strategies and content in support of seasonal initiatives and business goals.
•Work closely with cross-functional shared services Ecommerce team to support email execution from creative hand-off through to production and deployment.
•Leads and develops new segmentation and personalization strategy to drive incremental sales, cross-sell, and continuous improvement of email KPI’s.
•Develop Email sales and acquisition plans and track Email performance goals including weekly, monthly, yearly forecasting responsibilities.
•Grow the email list and maintain its health by managing deliverability, contact frequency and content.
•Analyzes and interprets email campaign performance, leverages insights to make directive, proactive recommendations related to email strategy and programs.
•Create and execute email tests that will elevate targeting, segmentation, creative and personalization practices.
•Manage email marketing production schedules to ensure relevant content and on time execution. Secure necessary approvals from all applicable stakeholders.
•Works closely with Site Operations Manager and Site Marketing Manager to optimize consumer experience and landing page performance.
•Develop testing strategy for email marketing campaigns, including subject lines, dynamic content,creative layout, targeting, etc.
•Stay on top of email best practices and competitive landscape. Uses market information to inform future programs.
•Acts as SOREL Ecommerce business lead for loyalty and CRM initiatives.
•Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce or related field.
•A minimum of 6-8years of progressive online marketing experience, with 3-5 years in email marketing
•Footwear and/or apparel and Retail industry experience strongly preferred
•Experience in working with an email service provider and managing daily email campaigns
•Experience in aligning cross-functional teams and agencies
•Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics and ROI analysis
•Proven ability to analyze data and report on results
•Ability to think strategically and creatively, while at the same time developing practical and specific tactics that produces results
•Understanding of email fundamentals: CAN-SPAM requirements, segmentation, performance metrics, etc.
•Understanding of HTML and email design best practices across desktop, mobile and tablet
•Exceptional planning and project management skills
•Exceptional writing and communication skills
•Demonstrated success in managing high volume, integrated email marketing programs for consumer audiences
•CRM experience in Retail or Ecommerce industry is a plus.
