The Portland Police Bureau is seeking qualified Analysts to join their team.

This recruitment will remain open until 100 applications have been received or until the posted closing date, Wednesday, November 27, 2019, whichever comes first. Applications received after the 100 application limit has been reached will not be included in this recruitment process.

The City of Portland's Police Bureau (PPB) is seeking Analysts to serve as team members in their Office of Inspector General.

Analysts assigned to the Office of Inspector General (OIG) are provided an exciting opportunity to help ensure the compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency of internal bureau processes, policies, directives, and standard operating procedures. This level of internal accountability helps to support bureau goals, objectives, and commitment to public service.

Analysts must possess the ability to work in a dynamic and team-oriented environment, demonstrate the ability to collaborate with others, work in support of high quality public service objectives, and possess outstanding human relations and communication skills. Analysts are responsible for (1) compiling, entering, maintaining, integrating, analyzing, and reporting findings on use of force and other related topics, (2) the evaluation of internal processes to determine compliance with policy, directives, standard operating procedures, and bureau objectives, and (3) providing data, findings, and recommendations in various forms to include written reports, statistical data sets, and oral presentations.
