Washington County's Health and Human Services department is currently hiring for a Community Health Nursing Supervisor within their Public Health Division to be dedicated to the Family Connects Program. The mission of this division is to work in partnership with our community to improve and protect the public's health and achieve health equity through prevention, regulation and education.

The Family Connects Nursing Supervisor will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the nursing staff for the Family Connects program. This position will also be coordinating efforts with the appropriate agencies and participating in the community alignment process to hire and train staff on an ongoing basis. The individual working in this role will be responsible for making recommendations and assisting in the implementation of goals and objectives; establishing schedules and methods for the delivery of Family Connects home visiting services. Additionally, this role will be evaluating operations and activities of assigned responsibilities, preparing various reports, operations and activities while working closely with the Health Officer in developing program policies and procedures, reviewing and overseeing nursing quality control standards for services provided, and assuring the compliance with County, State, and Family Connects International fidelity standards.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of the principles, practices, and procedures of public health nursing, cultural competence, trauma-informed practices, and Oregon Nurse Home-Visiting Programs as well as the universally offered home visiting initiative. Candidates who have demonstrated experience supervising and implementing comprehensive public health nursing programs, assisting in preparing and administering budgets, and supervising, training, and evaluating assigned staff are desirable. Additionally, candidates who have experience assisting a Public Health Division in emergency preparedness, and response efforts related to public health emergency events are highly preferred.
