Central City Concern’s (CCC) Blackburn Center is a new six-floor building in East Portland, Oregon (clinic and housing) that will give vulnerable people access to integrated housing, employment and health services, and provide support they need to stabilize and rebuild their lives.

CCC is hiring employees to help lift this project to national prominence. Known for innovative programming already, CCC now moves toward a first-of-its-kind operating model (including key changes such as centralized intake and integrated care teams) in a more diverse community and a landscape of new potential community partners. TITLE: Pharmacy Operations Manager (PIC) - Blackburn Center
DEPARTMENT: Pharmacy/Blackburn
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

SUMMARY: The Blackburn Center (BC) is an innovative program that will offer integrated housing, health care, and employment services with the long-term goal of eliminating homelessness. We seek to change the way health care is delivered to all people, especially vulnerable populations, and the Pharmacy Operations Manager/PIC will ensure that high quality clinical pharmacy services and operational needs are integrated into this model. This position provides services of a licensed pharmacist to Central City Concern. 50% of their time will be allotted to Business and Operations Management, and 50% of time is allotted to practicing as a Pharmacist. The Operations Manager will collaborate with the Central City Concern operations team to oversee the long-term health, quality, effectiveness, and strength of the health system. As a pharmacist, they will serve as a liaison between CCC pharmacy staff and providers to provide safe, high quality, patient-centered care that improves quality of life.

1. BS in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy school is required. Doctor of Pharmacy preferred. 2. Must be eligible for licensure in the State of Oregon. 3. PGY-1 residency training, or equivalent training or experience, is preferred. 4. Contemporary Ambulatory Pharmacy medication management and retail pharmacy operation management skills preferred. 5. Must meet CCC privileging requirement as required by FTCA. 6. Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain within one (1) month. 7. Available to work during standard clinic hours. 8. Bi-lingual, Spanish-speaking preferred. 9. If in recovery, must be able to document continuous abstinence under independent living conditions or recovery housing for the immediate past two years. 10. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. 11. Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull, and lift heavy objects. 12. Must adhere to agency’s non-discrimination policies. 13. Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, cultural backgrounds, life-styles, and sexual orientations and treat each individual with respect and dignity.
