The Corporate Controller leads the Accounting team responsible for accurate, timely and insightful reporting of Jama’s financial results, internally and externally. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Corporate Controller provides proactive recommendations regarding the accounting, tax and treasury implications of key strategic and operating initiatives. This position works closely with leadership across the organization to ensure sound and scalable accounting operations practices, compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and attainment of Jama’s financial reporting requirements.

What you’ll get to do:

Oversee the monthly close process to issue timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP 
Review customer arrangements for proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards
Work cross-functionally to implement ASC 606 accounting and lead project to transition and potentially implement new ERP
Lead Licensing Operations team to ensure efficient and scalable product delivery to customers, and adherence to company bookings policy
Oversee efficient daily A/P and A/R processes
Establish, implement and monitor accounting policies, practices and systems to create a strong internal control environment
Oversee payroll process and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
Manage intercompany accounting
Work cross functionally to ensure the Accounting team has the information needed to provide accurate reporting to senior leadership
Implement effective processes to forecast, track and manage all cash receipts and disbursements
Provide comprehensive and timely reporting and analysis to management and other internal and external stakeholders 
Manage the external audit of the consolidated financial statements and notes
Manage third-party resources to comply with all local, state and federal tax reporting and filing requirements, for state and local income taxes, as well as sales and use taxes
Develop and maintain working relationships with functional business owners across Jama

Education and Experience:

Bachelors’ degree in Accounting/Finance is required
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience with a mix of both public and private accounting
Minimum 2 of experience directly managing and developing a high-performing team 
CPA strongly preferred

Ideal Candidate:

SaaS/Subscription model experience with strong operational and technical accounting background, including knowledge of ASC 606
Experience with cloud-based ERP systems; implementation experience helpful
Effective communication, internally and externally across all levels
Experience with global operations, including multi-currency environments
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects and drive to completion
